Play evaluations

It is an observational informal assessment in a natural play environment. It yields useful information about how the child interacts with people and objects and can be completed in a naturalistic environment. They are useful in determining the child’s activity level. Depending on the characteristics of child’s play the examiner can assess many behaviours of the child in a natural setting. These behaviours can be analyzed for developmental progress in social skills, activity level, motor skills, frustration tolerance, communication skills etc.
