Strategy for the child: Getting familiarity with the examiner Strategies for the examiner: Achieving trusting relationship with the child by knowing child’s interests. Familiar with the child’s cultural background or language. Responding in a sensitive manner to the child’s needs. Giving appropriate approval and reinforcement to motivate the child and also to keep child’s focus on the task.
