Lesson 08: Socio – emotional skills during ECH period

In Relation to the Environment

• Development of sense of empathy, altruism and care towards the old, the disabled and the needy.

• Should be able to develop an attitude of care and nurturance towards plants, animals and other forms of life. Specifically, they should be able to understand and imbibe simple rules like:
• Do not pull leaves off trees, break branches, pluck flowers or otherwise harm plant life.
• Do not dirty the air, water or the earth.
• Respect lives of animals and humans alike.
• Do not take more than you need. Do not be wasteful.
• Try to improve the environment by leaving food for birds and animals, planting flowers, picking up trash etc.
• Development of attitude of care and nurturance towards trees, plants, animals and other forms of life.
