  • developing a clear agreement and statement on the central concept of the center.
  • following licensing and professional standards for the services proposed and ensuring that staff members understand the standards and follow them.
  • developing realistic and appropriate goals and objectives of the center.
  • making decisions based on overall goals and plans. A great deal of time goes into agreeing on goals and objectives.Thus, when decisions are made, those goals should be the basis of decisions. For example, given a goal of protecting the civil rights of children, parents, and staff, instances of denying those rights should not be allowed even in emergency decisions.
  • developing, evaluating and revising programs and plans after taking up the role of an enterprenuer. It is managerial responsibility is continuous from the first to the last day of a enterprenuer’s tenure.
  • Finally, consulting regularly with governing board, staff, parents and others on goals, programs, plans and procedures.
