Job Description

Organization chart may be supplemented with a job descriptionwhich is an organized list of duties and responsibilities which are assigned to a specific position. It is an extension of the formal organization chart which shows activities and job relationships for the positions identified on the formal organization chart.

Job Description for a Manager:

  1. To maintain efficient catering services within the hotel
  2. To maintain effective control of raw material, labour and equipment costs.
  3. To liaise with heads of departments in producing departmental budgets.
  4. To be responsible for achieving required revenue & profit
  5. To be responsible for hygiene and safety standards.
  6. To ensure all legal requirements are met
  7. To liaise with all heads of departments regularly
  8. To be prepared to attend any other meetings called for by the GM.
  9. To liaise with personnel departments in recruiting & training.
