Freeze dried cereal instant products

1. Dishes like lemon rice, chicken biryani, peas paneer and wheat porridge mainly for space expeditions have been developed by freeze drying.
2. In space temperature above 70˚C are not possible for reconstitution.
3. Freeze dried products can be reconstituted by adding warm water with the help of pressure syringe and leaving for 10-15 min, the product will be ready for consumption.
4. Cost of freeze drying is several times higher than conventional drying.
