Peda

Is whitish yellow in colour with course grainy texture, widely produced in India.

Process:

  1. It is prepared by mixing three parts of dhap (evaporated) khoa with one part of sugar.
  2. It is heated in a pan over low fire till the mixture forms cylindrical shape.
  3. The mixture is stirred thoroughly and rolled by hand into round shapes of approximately 20 gms.
  4. Some manufactures use permitted colours . In kesar pedha saffron is added.
