Dried chips and vegetables

Meaning: Vegetables are cut or shredded, potatoes and bananas are blanched in salt water and dried. Other vegetables are shredded and mixed with salt and spices, sometimes with rice flakes. Dried chillies are stuffed with spices, sometimes soaked in butter milk and dried.

Types: Potato chips, banana chips, green chilies, bitter gourd, ladies finger, cluster beans are commonly used for drying.
Shelf life is for 8-12 months.
