Manifested in medium sized muscular arteries like

  • Coronary artery
  • Carotid artery
  • Cerebral arteries
  • Iliac and superficial femoral arteries

Atherosclerotic lesions due to partial or total occlusions of the lumen
Formation of thrombus because of cracks and fissures
Angina pectoris
Myocardial infarction (death of heart muscle tissue)
