Advertising

Advertising uses the media to get products and services of the client to the consumer as efficiently as possible.

Advertisement is the business of communicating a message to an audience through the media like news papers, magazines, radio, television etc. It forms the basis for marketing.

Advertising agencies plan and execute advertising campaigns on behalf of their 'clients' or ‘accounts’ want to draw attention of firms and other organizations to their 'product.

Advertising has two areas

  1. Executive side
  2. Creative side

The executive department deals with client servicing, media planning and market research. The creative department employs copy writers, visual artists, script writers, storyboard artists, typographers etc.
Working with advertising agency requires hard work. In reality this job is less glamorous than it is believed to be. It requires creative visual imagination, good observation power, patience and perseverance. They should be able to convey maximum content with minimum words Thus they should have strong feelings for words.
