PROGRAMME PLANNING, IMPLEMENTATION AND EVALUATION 2(1+1)

Introduction

Planning of any programme is a key factor for its successful execution. Programme planning takes into account the following broad aspects:

  • planning the programme
  • preparing plans for teaching
  • carrying out the plans and
  • evaluating to determine achievements

The programme planning process is regarded as a continuous and cooperative activity, which includes lay people and the extension staff who contribute in identification of problems, making decisions about common wants and needs, setting up of objectives and taking action to achieve the objectives.

In programme planning it is required to know “where we are now” and “where we ought to go” which is realised through the needs.

h

Gap indicates the plan of work to be formulated which helps to plan a programme and then execute it.
