Introduction

Health care is the treatment and prevention of illness. Health care is delivered by professionals in medicine, dentistry, nursing, and allied health. Healthcare as an industry and as a work environment presents a unique set of circumstances, opportunities and challenges for designer to evolve functional design applying ergonomic principles to secure good physical and visual access. Designing and maintaining an uncluttered environment encourages secured sense of safe shelter. Comfortable healing space and accommodations ensure inner peace for sick and accompanying member to stay in care center and speedy recover.

It is also essential to create healthy work environments for the staff to serve its patients. Efficiency of physicians, nurses and ancillary staff are very much influenced by the environment that supports their activity. Heath care institutions- Any healthcare, convalescent healthcare, health maintenance organization, health clinic, nursing home, extended care facility, or other institution devoted to the care of sick, infirm, or aged person is referred to as healthcare institution. These health-care institutions incorporate several sectors that are dedicated to providing services and products dedicated to improving the health of individuals.
