Placket openings

Plackets are finished openings in the constructed garments that allow the garment to be put on and taken off easily. They are used at waist lines, necklines, wrists and other snug fitting parts of garments. When the garment is in use, plackets are kept closed with the aid of fasteners such as zips, buttons and buttonholes, press buttons, hooks and eyes etc. The choice of opening depends on the type, weight and thickness of the fabric, position in the garments. The opening should be easily accessible for fastening and unfastening.
