BIOCHEMICAL PROPERTIES
  • Bacillus anthracis organisms are catalase +ve .
  • They ferment glucose, maltose, saccharose, trehalose and dextrin, produce acid but no gas.
  • Nitrates reduced to nitrites. Indole is negative.
