Learning Objective

This chapter deals with the characteristics of different eukaryotic organisms, their classification and economic importance. The students will learn about the structure of fungi, alge, protozoa and their basic classification. They are expected to know about the significance of each of these eukaryotic orgnaisms interms of their disease processes and potential for industrial applications especially those of the fungi.
