Learning Objective
This chapter deals with the basic concepts of pathogenicity and virulence and the different processes involved in disease manifertations. The students will learn about virulence factors of bacterial pathogens, disease classification, stages of disease progression and examples of bacterial, fungal, protozoan and parasitic diseases and causative agents. |
