Maize crop is being cultivated in the latitude of 58oN to 35-40oS. Though the crop is cultivated on a very wide range of agro-climatic conditions, yet moderate temperature with sufficient supply of water are most favourable. Temperature below 12oC and higher than 30oC does not favour its cultivation.
