Water Management

Red gram is generally cultivated under rainfed situation. The intensively managed red gram systems that involve short-duration red gram have a higher water requirement because they are grown at high densities.The water use is in the range of 55-60cm. Branching andpodfilling stages are considered as critical stages for moisture stress.
