Environment friendly packaging

Polyethylene and polypropylene bags of 100 gauge (25µ) are normally used for mushroom packaging. The containers (small basket) are made from environment friendly material viz., Sal leaves (Shorea robusta) and Arecanut leaf sheath (Areca catechu). These containers are in turn wrapped with low density shrink wrap (50 gauge (12.5µ) commercially called as L-50 cling film.
