Government of India and State government have setup a number of agencies throughout the country to help entrepreneur in solving technical, infrastructural and financial problems.
The SFC is empowered to grant financial assistance to medium, small and cottage industries. Assistance extended by various agencies is shown below in detail

For the purpose of central investment subsidy, the backward areas of the country have been classified into three categories: A,B and C. The amount of subsidy admissible to small industries in these three categories of areas is as follows:

CATEGORY A: 25% fixed capital investment subject to ceiling of Rs. 25 lakhs.
CATEGORY B: 15% fixed capital investment subject to ceiling of Rs. 15 lakhs.
CATEGORY C: 10% fixed capital investment subject to ceiling of Rs. 10 lakhs.
