Toxicodynamic phase

The processes involved in the interaction between the toxicant and its molecular sites of action constitute the toxicodynamic phase. Molecular sites of action include receptors for reversibly acting substances or sites that are responsible for the induction of chemical lesions for none reversibly acting toxicants.
