Heller’s test

HELLER'S TEST

  • To 2 ml of the protein solution, layer equal volume of Conc. HNO3 along the inner sides of the tube.
  • A white ring appears at the junction of the two phases due to precipitation of proteins.
  • These metaproteins of albumins and globulins are insoluble in strong mineral acid.
