INTERCOSTAL LYMPH NODE

  • These are small glands situated in the upper part of the intercostal spaces (absent in dog) on the course of intercostal vessels.
  • Afferents: Vertebrae, ribs, pleura, intercostal and spinal muscles.
  • Efferents: To mediastinal lymph nodes
