PRECAUTIONS

• The dissection should be performed as quickly atleast with in 10 minutes after pithing the frog.
• Nerves are very delicate structure. It should not be touched with the fingers or the instruments during muscle nerve preparation.
• The nerve should not be stretched . It should not bear the weight of the muscle/spinal column.
• Moisture content of the muscle nerve preparation should be maintained by frequent application of saline solution.
• As the slimy secretion of the skin is injurious to the muscle and the nerve direct contact of the same may be avoided .
