• It is an electrical device used in the experimental physiology.
• Many of the experiments done with electromechanical devices as above can be done using the physiograph.
• Many parameters can be recorded on a single apparatus.
• It permits group experiments, i.e. many physiographs can be interconnected and one experimental set up can be used for all.
• Accuracy and sensitivity of the instrument is quite high.
