Instruments with Captive Bolt Arrangement

INSTRUMENTS WITH CAPTIVE BOLT ARRANGEMENTS

• On firing these instruments, pressure is created which will drive a bolt with a great force inside the skull damaging the brain tissue.
• This renders the animal unconscious and the bolt is automatically withdrawn by the means of recoiling.
• Blank cartridges are used in this type of instruments.
  • Blank cartridges contain only gun powder
  • These cartridges cannot kill a person/animal
• Different colours are provided to the tips of the cartridges to signify a particlar size of the animal.

  • Non-penetrative type.
