Order 1. Anaspidacea

• Found in Australian freshwaters.
• First thoracic segment fused with head.
• Eyes stalked, sessile or absent.
• Pleopods uniramous or biramous.

Eg. Anaspides, Koonunga

Order 2. Bathynellacea

• Small, in subterranean waters of central Europe.
• First thoracic segment, not fused with head.
• Eyes absent.
• Pleopods reduced or absent.
• Telson fused with the 6th abdominal segment.
