6.5.2.1. Addition of water to the double bond

 

In the third step water adds to the double bond of the 2-enoyl-CoADtrans- to form the ß-hydroxyacyl-CoA(3-hydroxyacyl-CoA) catalyzed by enoyl-CoA hydratase.
