          The five major oceans in the world are the Pacific, the Atlantic, the Indian, the Arctic, and the Antarctic. The Pacific, South Atlantic and Antarctic occupy approximately 90 percent of the Southern Hemisphere. The Indian, North Atlantic, and Arctic cover the watermass in the Northern Hemisphere
