5.1.5 Types of diagrams
In practice, a very large variety of diagrams are in use and new ones are constantly being added. For the sake of convenience and simplicity they may be divided under the following heads : I. One-dimensional diagrams eg. Bar diagrams II. Two-dimensional diagrams eg. Rectangles, squares and circles. III. Three-dimensional diagrams, eg. Cubes, cylinders and spheres. IV. Pictograms and cartograms. Each of these types is discussed in detail in the following pages. |
