1.1.5 Importance of Rural Sociology in Extension
The major aim of extension is to develop the rural society through a variety of extension programmes. However, the success of the programmes depends on rural population’s support, co-operation and participation in these programmes. Hence, knowledge on rural sociology which structure, culture, customs, laws, beliefs of the rural society is very important on the part of the extension workers because these factor affect the attitude, approach behaviour etc. of the rural people. |
