1. Formal : The formal types are these which are specifically designed for control which include gol, law, police, panel code, legal punishment etc.

2. Informal : Informal Social Control includes those means which are developed by people by themselves according to the needs of the Society. These means include mores, traditions, customs, Social ideas etc.
