Distribution and status: Widely distributed in southern India
Damage symptoms
Minute chlorotic spots, later coalesce to cause yellowing of leaves. Nymphs and adults suck the sap from tender leaves and shoots and cause yellowing of leaves. In severe attack, cause death of plants.
Bionomics
The bugs lay white cylendrical eggs singly in the plant tissue, generally under the surface of the leaves. Adult: Greenish bug. |
