Marriage is a natural contract and artificial

• Marriage contract consists of an agreement – a consent behavior a man and woman to take each other as husband and wife.
• This implies that they are entering an agreement to affect certain goats in a certain way.
• Since, marriage is nature’s invention; its goals are posited by the nature to satisfy biological and psychological needs of individuals.
  Sociologists feel that marriage is an artificial device or a mere convention (custom) of society.
• The marital literature reveals that there are no absolute and fixed natural goals, rather marriage has emerged as the result of evolutionary process.
• People enter into marriage for prestige, wealth, security and companionship etc.
