Motor development during early childhood period is influenced by two significant factors, they are maturation and learning. Both these factors help in learning of any motor skill effectively. Maturational readiness is important in a child to learn a skill. Once he is ‘ready’ he needs a proper learning environment and opportunity to learn the skill effectively.
