Lesson 23: Indoor play activities in ECE

Dramatic play

It is very social and imaginative in nature. It includes usually more than one child and includes a lot of role assigning and role assuming. It develops the use of language since children describe among themselves what is happening. Teacher should try to encourage the use of imaginative language whenever possible.

Unstructured materials are very useful because they help children to be inventive and use their imagination. Ex: a scarf may be a hat etc.
