Exercise 12: Visit to Horti-Silviculture Agroforestry Model

Learning Objective: Visit to Horti-Silviculture Agroforestry Model.
• Since 1983, All India Co-ordinated Research Project on Agroforestry is in operation in the Department of Silviculture and Agroforestry, COF, UHF, Nauni-Solan (INDIA). Under this project various fruit tree based (Horti-silvicutlture) system has been developed by integrating peach, pear, apricot and pomegranate. The timber trees like Toona ciliate and Grewia optiva were planted on the boundary of the field. The students will be undertaken to field to see the productivity and compatibility of the system.
