  • Cultivated varieties are grouped into three main groups primarily based on nature of panicle. They are ‘Malabar’, ‘Mysore’ and ‘Vazhukka’. Vazhukka is a natural hybrid between Malabar and Mysore. Distinguishing features of these varieties are as follows
