Lesson 42 : Constitution of a National Children’s Board
Functions
The functions of the board shall be
To create and sustain public awareness of the needs of children in general.
To coordinate and integrate the efforts made by different governmental and private agencies engaged in implementing programmes for the welfare of children.
To review periodically the progress made in the different programmes.
To locate gaps in the existing services and suggest measures for eliminating such gaps, and
To suggest from time to time any changes needed in the priorities accorded to the different programmes.
