Module- 7 & 8: Planning, Implementing and Evaluation of Stimulation Programme for Infants (7-12 months)

Practical- 26 & 27: Material development for stimulation programme during 7-12 months

Introduction:

The infants by this age are able to differ or differentiate between objects and recognize familiar ones. Provide objects such as cube, soft toys, large size cup of light material. Spend time with the child showing him bright and attractive objects and repeat such activities to ensure cognizance of the same. So provide toys of such material that are safe and unbreakable.

Aim: To widen horizon of student’s knowledge regarding developing materials for stimulation programme for infants (7-12 months).

Objectives:

1. To develop the skill in preparation of stimulation material for children in the age range of 7-12 months.
2. To design the stimulation material used for children in the areas of motor, cognitive, socio-emotional and language development.

Instructions for the students:

1. The students select any two activities under each area from the planned stimulation programme and prepare the material.
2. Check the usability of the final product and do the require modifications for the final use and submit.
3. Understand the examples given below to prepare the stimulation material
