The United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)

Assists in universal and compulsory primary education, promotion of science and technology.

It helps to workout text books and teaching of national languages to the children of migrant workers, training of staff for preschool children and assists projects to setup the production of children’s books and libraries.

UNESCO’s aim is to encourage countries to review their national and local programmemes of action for children in the light of their needs and priorities.

Being interested in international human rights, UNESCO helps to promote long term and short term children’s programmeme within the countries.

A national commission of UNESCO is functioning as a part of the ministry of education of India
