Course Title: Apiculture 1(0+1) Practical: Importance and history of apiculture. Different species of honey bees. Morphology, anatomy, colony organization and life cycle. Beekeeping equipment. Social behaviour. Queen rearing. Collection and preservation of bee pasture. Seasonal management. Economics of beekeeping. Familiarization with bee enemies and diseases and their control. Handling of bee colonies and manipulation for honey production. |
