Piece Dyeing

Definition

The dyeing of cloth after it has been woven or knitted is known as piece dyeing.

When the cloth is dyed in solid colour after it is woven, the process is called piece dyeing or dip dyeing. The great bulk of dyed fabric on the market is dyed in the piece.

It is most common method of dyeing used.

The various methods used for this type of dyeing includes

  1. Jig dyeing
  2. Pad dyeing
  3. Beck/Winch dyeing
  4. Advanced Methods of dyeing
