Introduction

Sound Forge is the sound editing software which is used to edit sound. Sounds of different format can be edited by using this software. This is developed by Sony corp. in the early 90’s. This is also named under Sonic Foundry in the late 90’s.

The latest version of the sound forge is 8.0. Trails are being made to develop sound forge 9.0. Earlier versions of the sound forge i.e. forge 6.0 suits for the Windows 9x operating system. But with the evolution of Win xp and Vista sonic corp. has turned itself to the environment of this O/s.The software that has evolved in this era is sound forge 7.0 which was released in 2004.
