To fill the mandate, each KVK is provided with adequate infrastructure like 50 acres of land, administrative office and training centre. The head of the institution is Programme Coordinator with specialization in Agricultural Extension and Subject Matter Specialist (SMS) of Agronomy, Agriculture Engineering, Horticulture, Veterinary and Home Science. The following activities are conducted in KVKs to meet the mandate
Instructional farm activity for income generation and also to demonstrate the latest technologies to farmers
Seed multiplication programme for the supply breeder and foundation seed duly certified
Short and long term vocational training programmes by each SMS.
OFTs and FLDs to verify the technologies under the socio-economic conditions of the farmers.
