Lesson 13 : Training of Leaders

Objectives of Training Village Leaders

• To develop basic concepts for understanding and interpreting group behaviour, social learning and cultural differences.
• Learn methods to identify and analyze problems.
• To develop competence in group processes such as cooperative thinking, exchange and analysis of ideas and facts, teaching, converting discussions into agreement and formulation of group goals.
• To motivate leaders for full commitment for the cause of development.
• To create technical skills in them to identify the problems of villages, learn current approaches to solve the problems and plan appropriate educational procedures.
• To develop basic skills of communication and group work.
• To provide them knowledge and skills in technical subject matter area, relevant to the programme.
• Help to develop interest and build enthusiasm among village leaders.
