Mahilamandalsare independent voluntary organizations of local women. Mahila mandals are important organizations of women in which they plan, work and learn to meet their needs by carrying out different activities. The extension agents help in motivating the members of mahila mandalsto carry out the projects of the programme to be implemented. Suitable training programmes are arranged for proper implementation of the project, as and when required, where women of mahila mandals participate, get educated and take lead role in motivating the women of the community to adopt the practices being taught.
