Lesson 24 : Elements of Evaluation

Who should do the Evaluation?

1. Evaluation of programmes can be done by the self evaluation method which is appropriate for many cases. The self evaluation agency who has been responsible for planning and implementation of the programme conducts its own evaluation. Self evaluation may be done through a committee or some individuals assigned to do this job.
2. Evaluation conducted by competent persons or groups outside the agency for overcoming biases and for introducing new ideas.
