Lesson 24 : Elements of Evaluation

When should Evaluation be done?

1. Evaluation of different phases of the programme can be conducted at one time, that is, at the end of the programme.
2. In some cases, it is better to evaluate each phase of the programme as soon as it is completed. These early evaluations help in the modifications in on-going programme, so that successful results can be achieved.

In this context, it is quite important to emphasize that the provision of conducting evaluation has to be included in programme implementation process, whether it is conducted at the end or in between the programme.
