From whom should Information be collected?

The information required for conducting any evaluation can be obtained from the following sources:

  • Different documents such as written plans, records, reports etc.
  • Extension staff
  • People directly concerned with the programme
  • Committee members
  • Local leaders
  • Broad survey techniques such as personal interviews or questionnaires filled up by the people who are part of the group.

This information is collected at three stages.

  • Benchmark Stage: It is the initial stage when programme is to be introduced the stage from where the people start their change of behaviour.
  • Interim Stage: It is the stage in between the progress of the programme.
  • Final Stage: At the end of the programmes evaluation done to measure the accomplishment of final objectives.
